This Veterans Day we look back on all that has been sacrificed to keep our country free, safe, and thriving. Veterans Day originally started at the end of World War 1 as Armistice Day, after Germany agreed to stop the fighting. The heart of the war formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. Though the holiday has seen several title and observance day changes since then, November 11th is now set aside to honor all veterans.
On a personal note, we look back on how the founding of our company could not have happened if it weren’t for our brave owner. Ian Young joined the Air Force in 1992 as a way to branch out of his small hometown in Indiana. Over 20 years and 5 deployments, Ian was an avionics technician on F-15s, a postal specialist and an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. He enjoyed traveling through the middle east, but regrets never being stationed in Japan. In 2013 he decided to retire in order to be home to watch his children grow. Ian employs many techniques from the military in running a business, mainly, trusting the team to do their jobs.
This year, for the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1, we want to celebrate all of America’s Veterans for their patriotism and willingness to sacrifice for the common good. From now until November 19th, we will be offering 20% off the total cost of your remodel, plus Veterans receive a free upgrade to a Cardinal Skyline shower door. God Bless America.
